该作品为艺术家受邀参加艺术驻地项目ENACTMENT 23'期间,对于特定的场域中所存在的马场而进行的驻地创作。

 

对于人类历史进程都产生影响的物种,人类与马的一直保持着主体与客体的规训关系。在该作品中,艺术家一反主体客体的关系,通过对马的动作细节观察,以马的细小动作为音乐/声音的触发点,以作曲的方式将这些看似无规律的动作赋予韵律、节奏和戏剧感,通过多屏画面达到一种戏剧性冲突的场域。

This work was created as a residency for a horse farm that existed in a specific site during the artist's invitation to participate in the art residency programme ENACTMENT 23'.

A species that has had an impact on the course of human history, the human and the horse have always maintained a subject-object disciplinary relationship. In this work, the artist, in contrast to the subject-object relationship, observes the details of the horse's movements and uses the horse's small movements as a trigger for music/sound, composing these seemingly irregular movements to give them a sense of rhythm, tempo, and theatre, and to achieve a field of dramatic conflict through multi-screen images.

ENACTMENT23邀请艺术家冯昊在驻地期间创作的作品让我们注意到马的头部和身体的 "微表情",皮肤的抖动,这几乎是人类丧失的能力,而马却非常善于局部表达,马的“表情”比人丰富得多,这让我们在艺术家的影像和音乐中,反思马是如何对干扰、危险和刺激做出反应的。马的神经系统,它们的条件反射与人类是如此不同。艺术家非常敏感和善于观察,以关爱之心和历史的维度观察并思考马,冯以马的眨眼、抖耳和皮肤颤动作为音乐的触发机制进行作曲和编曲,多画面、多音轨的影像-声音作品构成了马的管弦交响曲。一反音乐是作曲家精神世界的主观表现形式,在冯的作品中,是马的神经推动了音乐的发展,让我们潜入一个不可言说的精神世界。

ENACTMENT23 invited artist Feng Hao creates his artwork during the residency that draw our attention to the "micro-expressions" of the horse's head and body. The fluttering of the skin, an ability almost lost to humans, while the horse is very adept at localized expression, the horse's "expressions" are much richer than those of a human being, which leads us to reflect, in the artist's films and music, on how the horse reacts to disturbances, dangers and stimuli. The nervous system of horses, their conditioned reflexes are so different from humans. The artist is very sensitive and observant, observing and reflecting on the horse with a caring heart and a historical dimension. Feng composes and arranges the music using the horse's blinking eyes, trembling ears, and skin fluttering as the triggering mechanism of the music, and the multi-channel, multi-tracked video-sound artwork constitutes an orchestral symphony of the horse. Contrary to the approach that music is a subjective expression of the composer's spiritual world, and in Feng's work, it is the horse's nerves that drive the music, allowing us to immersive into an ineffable spiritual world.
